Thankfulness
Thankfulness is not something that can be produced simply by acknowledging all that you have. I know this season of Thanksgiving encourages all of us to recognize what we are thankful for, but I want to invite you into a deeper, life-giving revelation of what a heart of gratitude can do in us.
Jesus illustrated this truth through an encounter with a woman who had known what it was like to be without value and how through forgiveness found her real worth. He said it this way, “those who have been forgiven much love much.” [Luke 7:36-50]
Take just a few minutes to be still this Thanksgiving week and invite the Holy Spirit to remind you of what life would be like apart from Him. Pause…
If your anything like me, you may even have tears come as you’re overwhelmed with how He pursued you and continues to fight for your heart. This life in Christ is anything but another brand of religion. We have been adopted into a family that in every way makes us citizens of Heaven and heirs of a Kingdom that is eternal. This isn’t something that will happen in the future, it is a present reality and our Father has great joy because of you!
Join Him this Thanksgiving season in celebrating the finished work that has been done in you and take hold of the promises He has made to you.
Thank you for the many ways you continue to support this work and love my family.
