Las Vegas – Hello Family, The greatest privilege we have as humans that are made in Gods image is that we have the capacity to bring Him Joy. If this is your aim, know that anything you do in love has the potential to bring our Father pleasure. Its what we are created for and it is what worship is all about. I encourage you to consider all that you possess and pray about how to use it all to love the people around you. This weekend we will do all we can to live this out as Leslie and I are headed to Las Vegas for the “Last Cowboy Standing” PBR event. This will be our last chance to have face time with our PBR community until August. We invite you to pray with us as we set out to serve these athletes and staff. For many of these people that spend their life on the road, we are the only Christ-centered resource they are getting. Thanks for doing your part in helping us pay to go.

Colorado Springs – John 4:36 he who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. For in this the saying is true: “One sows and another reaps”.

Last week I had some friends helping me plant a pasture in grass. One of our greatest challenges was the soil we were planting was straight sand. Because of the type of soil and the uneven terrain I was concerned how well the seeds would do. My friend Mandy spoke what I believe to be prophetic and profound statement. She said, “You planted a lot of seeds and seeds want to grow. Its what they do. ” Its true, some of the seeds are sprouting quickly and others went much deeper and will sprout in time. I see this truth show up in how we do life. This past weekend in Colorado Springs I enjoyed harvesting what I have not planted and I planting what I will not harvest. Planting seeds of truth is my responsibility and at times I get to see the harvest (Those making decisions to receive the love of God). This weekend I had the opportunity to enjoy all of it. I watched truth spoken and sang in love stir the hearts of people and some needed to hear the truth of who they are as children of God and others needed to learn the truth of who they are apart from God. All the same, truth received produces free people and this is mission Jesus said he came to accomplish, “To testify of the truth.” I encourage each of you to consider your conversations and decide if you are speaking truth in love.
