Free Burma Rangers & The Story Behind Crowheart
The Eubank family of Free Burma Rangers are dear friends of ours. Our family had the honor of hosting them in our home as they made their yearly visit to the states to report what the Lord is doing through their ministry.
The Eubanks children are fearless and the only children we know that give the Pierce boys a run for their money when it comes to playing hard. It’s apparent they’ve been raised in a family who have given themselves to serving people even in the midst of extreme danger and discomfort to bring hope to the oppressed in Burma, Sudan, and America.
Today in Jackson, WY we had a 6-hour prayer service to wrap up our visit as they return. It was amazing. Will you join us in continuing to pray for the Eubanks, their ministry and support them as you feel led? They are returning to tough stuff that many us can’t begin to grasp.
Thank you for your heart for fellow laborers in Christ.
Crowheart – A couple of years ago, I read Henry Blackaby’s Experiencing God which made a vivid point that the greatest works, God initiates. As His children, our privilege is to be a part of the work He orchestrates and witness His Spirit at work.
What we experienced in Crowheart, WY was one of these occasions.
Over a year ago, a lady on the reservation contacted us to do a special event. Unbeknownst to us, Rodney and his wife, Debbie, were driving through Wyoming around the same time and discovered a country church with doors open and nobody there. Rodney felt a huge burden in His Spirit for that area.
Several months later, I told Rodney about the invitation to do an event on the reservation and he lit up. He shared with me that God had told Him to go to Crowheart. Over the next months, we discovered others across the country had the same calling. As a result, a collective group served in Crowheart for one week preparing meals, restoring and enhancing the community and meeting the needs of the people. Rodney held services in that small church each night with standing room only. At the final event, there was a pig roast and I did a horsebreaking. It turned out being one of the largest events Crowheart has seen in many years.
Representative of the local people, the horse provided was a very strong, proud 3-year-old gelding. I was still struggling with the torn ligament in my knee but this horsebreaking ended up being one of the most powerful illustrations of which I’ve been part. The horse bucked me off, threw me into the fence and drug me in circles. After two hours, with love, my 9-year-old Holden was able to mount and ride the horse. The invitation was extended for a relationship with God as Father through the sacrifice on the cross of His son Jesus Christ. There was 100% response.
As you may recall from Oregon, this is the second time in a row that the Holy Spirit has provided yet another powerful illustration of John 14:6 that no one comes to the Father except through the Son.
Thank you for praying and thank you for making it possible for us to show Jesus’ love and share the saving message of what He did on the Cross to a community that could not afford to bring us to them. God bless Crowheart, WY!
