If you’re a child of God, your eternal life has already begun.  I’m asking the question these days if people around me really believe that.  So much of what I see is fear pushing people into decisions to play it safe and make sure they always have a plan.

Here is my plan:  Keep the image of who Jesus is in my thoughts and model my life after that.  Jesus already told us that we have been given everything that pertains to life and Godliness and that the Fulness of God dwells within us.  So what do we have to fear?

The most repeated instruction throughout the entire Bible is “Fear not!”  If our eternal life has already begun and heaven is a real place, what could ever stop us?  For this reason, I love my job.  I love seeing men do reckless things with no fear of death or punishment.  This would be impossible without the gift that Jesus brought us but since He gave his life, why not give ours.

I’m not just talking about physical risk, I’m talking about a faith that is so deep that it affects the way we love, the way we give, and the way we serve.  I have many reasons to love my job and I am so privileged to be a part of ministry such as this.  However, there are times that I need to go back to the basics of what I am doing and why.  I believe with all my heart that our Father has given each of us gifts and dreams so that we can live lives that keep us expectant of miracles and continually finding ourselves amazed by the ways our Father reveals His power in us.
