The last two months have been filled with a beautifully overwhelming series of opportunities to share the Kingdom of Jesus in various ways all around the country.
We have traveled to 5 PBR events scattered from NYC to Idaho. Presented the Gospel through 10 Prison Outreaches throughout Oregon, Idaho, and Nevada, and hosted 5 “Born wild” outreaches in Texas, North and South Carolina, and Oregon. Through these efforts, I have personally spoken to thousands and seen hundreds make decisions to follow Jesus. Even as I write this, I am amazed at all our Father has trusted to us and so encouraged by the ways you have prayed for and financed all these Kingdom works.
Jesus taught us to pray that His Kingdom would come and His will would be done on earth as it is being done in Heaven. What does it look like when that happens? I know that is an infinitely large question, but I think many of the simple things that we see regularly are evidence of this happening around us.
Remember when John the Baptist (who Jesus called the greatest man ever born of woman) was in prison? For whatever reason, John the Baptist asked the question, “Is Jesus really the one?” Jesus simply responded, tell John that the blind see, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have good news proclaimed to them.
For me – this is a description of the evidence of what happens when the children of God are doing the work of the Kingdom. Although I don’t see hundreds of physical healing miracles, I can truly say I have watched spiritually dead people raised to life, deaf ears opened, blind people seeing for the first time and we have preached the extravagant love of God to the poor.
I remember the elderly man who told me he had heard the Gospel message preached for 60 years and at the Born Wild event, that night was the first time he really could see and hear the truth. A mother with no hope or vision for how to connect with her daughter got provision and an empowered word on how to resurrect a relationship. A world famous athlete discovering how empty all his accomplishments are, only to discover the joy of becoming a son of God. A man who had spent 30 years in prison hating himself and everyone else around him have such an encounter with God that he was instantly healed and filled with love. I have witnessed the tangible presence of God come into a room to such a level that, once hardened men, stood in line just to get a hug.
Faith being expressed in love changes things. Miracles happen. The Kingdom comes.
Thanks to each of you for helping get me to these people! Pray as we are in Vegas this weekend for the PBR World Finals, a city that continues to heal and desperately needs the Good News of Our Father’s Kingdom!
